HISTORY
In the late 1960s, American textile manufacturer Bill Klopman, in conjunction with DuPont, pioneered the development of the world’s first polyester-blended fabric for industrially washed workwear. After extensive trials, the ideal performance fabric was achieved – using a blend of 65% polyester/35% cotton, the most important blend still in use today.
Acclaimed as a huge success by the US Laundry Association, Bill Klopman then set his sights on Europe. Market research proved positive and proposals were made to several European governments to build a high-tech manufacturing plant. A site was found in Frosinone, Italy and this became our new European manufacturing base.

1970
Les tissus Indestructible et Superbandmaster fabriqués par Klopman s'installent sur le marché.
1974
La présidence de Klopman passe des USA à Londres.
1988
Klopman Europe est repris par le groupe Dominion Textile et continue sa croissance.
2000
Klopman lance le premier tissu multifonctions Megatec.
2008
Lancement de plusieurs nouveaux tissus innovants dont le Vantage équipé de la technologie CORDURA®. Lancement du coton certifié équitable
2012
Développement en Asie par la création d'une joint venture avec Argo Manunggal Textile.
2013
Nouvelle succursale créée aux Emirats Arabes Unis. M. Alfonso Marra est nommé directeur général.
2015
Lancement de K-Flame, la nouvelle gamme de tissus Inherent de Klopman. Ouverture du bureau de Bangkok.
2016
Klopman obtient la certification STeP par Oeko-Tex. La société est rachetée par la société française TDV Industries et la direction italienne.
