It was 1968 when Klopman introduced the concept of poly/cotton workwear fabrics to Europe. Since then, from its headquarters in Frosinone, the company has grown to become Europe’s leading manufacturer in the production of special blends for the protectivewear, corporatewear and workwear markets.
In Italy, Klopman’s 70,000sq m plant employs 400 people and produces approximately 40 million metres of fabric every year. This technologically advanced manufacturing facility runs a continuous-processing operation, in which highly skilled professionals manage all processes from the selection of fibres to finished product, providing a 100% guarantee of fabric continuity and consistency of performance.
The company has commercial branch offices in Düsseldorf, Lyon, Moscow, Borås (Sweden), Dubai and Bangkok, plus a new production plant in Jakarta, Indonesia, which exclusively serves Far East markets. The decision to keep the production, sourcing and technological know-how in Italy is an expression of Klopman’s commitment to European standards of quality and safety.
The company has a global strategy for continuous growth, with a vast network of sales representatives, agents and distributors across Europe and the rest of the world.
95% of Klopman’s annual turnover comes from exports. Europe is, inevitably, its most important market but the company is also seeing significant increases in various emerging markets.
