Innovation in workwear and image wear fabrics

In the working world Klopman is unique in being Europe's only manufacturer dedicated solely to the production of fabrics for workwear and image wear.

It is a dedication that began with Klopman's introduction of polyester/cotton workwear fabrics to Europe in the mid-1960s, and has strengthened and developed over the years as Klopman continues to work closely with Europe's largest garment manufacturers and rental laundries.

This close involvement has meant contact with virtually every sector of industry, putting Klopman in a unique position to monitor trends and analyse feedback from wearer trials and end-users.

Today Klopman fabrics are to be found in virtually all areas of the working world in fact over 40 million working Europeans wear garments made in Klopman fabrics.

Universally recognised for the quality, performance, durability, consistency and colour retention of their fabrics, Klopman also has a well-deserved reputation for innovation and has been responsible for many of the most exciting developments in the world of workwear fabrics.

Poly/cotton fabrics

Klopman's poly/cotton fabric range includes two of Europe's most popular fabrics for men's and women's workwear the choice of many organisations for whom corporate identity and image projection is a high priority.

Available in a range of weights from 150gsm to 300gsm and both plain, twill, panama and chambray weaves, in addition to an extensive range of plain colours there is also a choice of printed stripes and special finishes.

These fabrics combine a longer working life with outstanding wearer protection qualities. Garments retain their smart appearance for far longer and they also offer the easy-care versatility of being suitable for both domestic washing and high temperature industrial laundering.

Cotton-rich fabrics

Klopman's range of cotton-rich fabrics more than meets the demands of the widest range of garments, from heavy duty workwear to image applications requiring softer styling and drape.

Specifically developed as an alternative to 100% cotton, they combine the comfort and absorbency of cotton with the extra durability and performance qualities of polyester.

Inherently tougher with excellent tear and abrasion resistance even after repeated industrial laundering, they do not suffer from the high and inconsistent levels of shrinkage which are so often a characteristic of 100% cotton.

Klopman's cotton-rich fabrics are available in a range of weights from 150gsm to 365gsm, an extensive range of colours and a variety of weaves including plain, twill, striped twill, satin, panama and chambray.

Comfort S-T-R-E-T-C-H fabrics
By utilising advanced fabric construction technology Klopman has been able to produce Comfort S-T-R-E-T-C-H, a unique range of S-T-R-E-T-C-H-and-recover fabrics in both cotton-rich and poly/cotton blends. These fabrics give garments greater flexibility, are more comfortable for the wearer and can withstand repeated industrial laundering.

Printline printed fabrics

Klopman Printline range of fabrics has comparable performance characteristics to the best-selling polyester/cotton Superbandmaster.

The on-line range of striped and abstract designs is available in a choice of seven colours which co-ordinate with Klopman's plain dyed fabrics. Special designs and colours are also available, including a sampling service.

Corporatewear fabrics

Specifically introduced to meet the growing demands of the corporatewear market for a combination of prestige appearance, improved comfort and stylish versatility, Klopman's corporatewear range helps to ensure that personnel will not only stay looking good, they will feel good too.

The range features a collection of fabrics with a unique flexi-twill construction as well as a stylish peach-feel fabric which is available in plain colours as well as a choice of chambray shades.
