OC1 is an innovative
skin-friendly finish certified to Öko-Tex
Class 1 – the highest possible classification,
which is only awarded to products suitable for
use for babies and small children up to the age
of three – and ideal for use in garments
worn next to the skin and/or in warm working
conditions.
Dermatologically tested
and proven to be safe for sensitive skins, OC1
has been specifically designed to provide wearers
with additional levels of comfort and confidence,
as well as exceptional protection. It is available,
on request, on a wide range of Klopman workwear
and protectivewear fabrics.
Soft Plus
Working in occupations
and conditions requiring the protection of flame
retardant garments requires great care and attention
as well as exacting and high levels of concentration
at all times. It is therefore essential that
personnel performing this work are as comfortable
as possible.
In recognition of this
requirement, Klopman has developed Soft Plus,
a dedicated soft finish for its Flamesafe range
of FR fabrics with PROBAN®.
Utilising advanced technology
the Soft Plus finish makes FR fabrics measurably
softer, as proven in tests carried out by independent
French testing house IFTH, whilst maintaining
the flame retardant properties of the PROBAN® finish.
The Soft Plus finish is
available as standard on Scala FR and Challenger
5000 FR and as an option on the other fabrics
in the Flamesafe PROBAN® range.
Sanitized®
Even with slight exertion,
the human body releases up to half a litre of
water an hour. The greater the exertion, the
greater the warmth and moisture produced, which
in turn creates the ideal conditions for the
growth of bacteria and fungi which convert the
moisture into perspiration causing potential
problems of staining and odours.
This is not only unpleasant,
it is also harmful to the garments.
Klopman's Sanitized® finish
has been specifically designed to keep fabrics
fresher for longer. Dermatologically tested and
safe for sensitive skins, as well as providing
long-lasting antimicrobial protection it also
acts as a built-in deodorant to enhance the freshness,
confidence and well-being of the wearer and protect
the garment from staining and fabric degradation.
Designed to last for the
lifetime of the garment, even after repeated
washing, Klopman's Sanitized® fabrics are
ideal for applications where image, comfort,
long-lasting smartness and durability are important
concerns.
Also taking advantage
of the benefits of the unique Sanitized® antimicrobial
finish, Klopman offers a number of more technical
fabrics in the Bioguard range
of specialist protectivewear fabrics:
Bioguard
Bioguard is a unique
range of fabrics developed by Klopman, designed
to give long-lasting antimicrobial protection
through a unique Sanitized® treatment.
The presence and growth
of bacteria and fungi on garments and associated
risks of cross-contamination rapidly increase
wherever people are working, especially when
under pressure or in warm working conditions.
Bacteria can even be present
in freshly-laundered garments so regular washing
is not necessarily the solution.
In addition to being unhygienic,
these micro-organisms can cause unsightly staining
and unpleasant odours, making wearers feel uneasy
about their personal freshness.
A choice of five fabrics
is available in a range of weights from 150gsm
to 215gsm and a choice of cotton-rich, polyester/cotton
and 100% polyester lint free blends, comparable
to proven best-selling Klopman fabrics - Prima,
Crossover and Superbandmaster in the image workwear
range.
Bioguard fabrics are particularly
suitable for garments worn in healthcare, pharmaceutical,
clean area and other critical hygiene environments
as well as garments for the retail and service
sectors.
An innovative finish
that improves both the crease resistance and
crease recovery of a fabric. The finish also
contributes easy care qualities, helping to enhance
a garment's overall smartness and appearance.
Available as standard
on all Klopman image workwear fabrics it is extremely
durable and improves the smooth-drying properties
of garments that are industrially laundered.
Comfort+
Developed by Klopman,
the Comfort+ finish has been specifically designed
to bring exceptional standards of wearer comfort
to image workwear. It is a well proven fact that
a fabric's comfort factor can have a crucial
influence on the all-round working efficiency
of the wearer. Comfort+ finish combines wearer
protection with superior thermophysiological
and sensorial properties scientifically
measurable characteristics that determine the
comfort of a fabric worn next to the skin.
Thermophysiological properties
are those of heat and moisture transfer through
the fabric. Sensorial properties are those of
hand or feel. In Comfort+ these properties combine
to give comfort levels unrivalled by comparable
conventional fabrics.
The superior performance
of Comfort+ finish has been proven in independent
research involving comparative tests with conventional
fabrics of equivalent yarn composition and weight.
These tests, including
the use of human skin model testing techniques,
were carried out by the Clothing Physiology Department
of the Hohenstein Research Institute, a foremost
authority on textile performance evaluation.
Comfort+ is available as
a standard finish on Superbandmaster, Indestructible,
Dynamite poly/cotton fabrics and Winchester cotton-rich
fabric.
Hydrofoil is an exclusive
Klopman finish that conforms to EN 13034 and
EN368 for protection against liquid chemicals.
It repels water and oil-based fluids more effectively
than any other comparable finish. Utilising Du
Pont's Teflon HT fabric protector, Hydrofoil
takes advantage of recent developments in nanotechnology
to provide a finish with up to twice the performance
retention of existing fabric finishes, with more
durable repellency than existing fabric finishes.
The Hydrofoil finish resists
soiling, enhances a garment's long-term appearance
and smartness and improves the fabric hand. It
is available as standard on Superbandmaster and
Indestructible poly/cotton fabrics.
